HISTORY
Pajama Praise Inspired
The
idea
of
Pajama
Praise
was
inspired
on
December
31st,
2004,
when
Calvinita
Malone
(Candy)
and
her
sisters
were
invited
to
a
New
Year’s
Eve
luncheon
at
the
home
of
their
aunt,
Jackie
Payne.
This
luncheon
was
for
all
the
girls
and
ladies
in
the
family.
After
leaving
the
luncheon,
the
sisters
were
so
inspired
that
they
wanted
to
invite
the
women
in
the
family
and
some
close
friends
to
their
home for a retreat. The list grew so large that they contracted with a hotel.
In
February,
2005,
the
first
Pajama
Praise
was
held
at
the
beautiful
Homewood
Suites
(now
defunct)
in
Matteson,
IL.
The
guests
were
only
asked
to
pay
a
minimal
fee
$27.00,
$37.00
or
$47.00
per
person.
This
cost
was
based
on
2,
3
or
4
occupants
to
a
room.
The
cost
included
overnight
lodging,
3
meals
and
all
conference
activities.
The
idea
was
not
to
profit
from
the
event,
but
to
continue
the
positive
caring,
sharing
and
empowering
sentiments
from
the
New
Year’s
Eve
Luncheon.
All
expenses
above
what
the
guests
were
asked
to
pay,
were
covered
by
the
sisters.
The
event
was
a
great
success.
The
guests
were
inspired
and
the
sisters
felt
their
mission
to
bring
the
ladies
together was accomplished.
Pajama Praise Instructions
In
October,
2006,
while
on
the
bus,
on
her
way
to
work,
Candy
received
a
vision
from
God
with
specific
instructions
to
continue
the
Pajama
Praise.
The
scripture
shown
to
her
in
the
vision
was:Deuteronomy
6:3.
“Hear
therefore,
O
Israel,
and
observe
to
do
it;
that
it
may
be
well
with
thee,
and
that
ye
may
increase
mightily,
as
the
LORD
God
of
thy
fathers
hath
promised
thee,
in
the
land
that floweth with milk and honey.” Candy obeyed the vision.

Praise
Ministry

conferences,
